Good for winter, safe for acne-prone skin
I've been using this sunscreen daily for the past two months. My skin is acne-prone (and I use Differin gel to treat it), and I didn't notice any new breakouts with the use of this formula. I love the high SPF and the moisturizing ability of this cream, plus the fact that it has antioxidant vitamin E. While it goes on completely sheer, I would NOT describe the finish as "matte." It always looks shiny on my skin, even if I give it 15 minutes to sink in. While it looks good under makeup (I apply mineral powder makeup from a compact), I wouldn't wear this sunscreen if I were going bare-faced because it's just too shiny. For the summer, I'm planning to switch to a lighter formula because the warm weather makes my face even more oily. That said, I liked using this cream for the winter because it's so hydrating, and it also soothes redness and irritation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this product go on chalky?

No. We utilize a micronized formulation of zinc and titanium dioxide leaving a sheer finish.

Is SPF 40 enough for the face?

More doctors recommend that anything over a factor of 30 should be used on the face.

I am allergic to sunscreen, how do I know that I will not react with this one?

Most sunscreens contain chemical actives that must absorb into the skin in order to work. Hence making your skin more prone to irritation as those chemicals react with your own skin. This is a physical block, as in is stays on the surface of the skin to block and reflect rays off the surface hence making it far less likely to cause reaction.

Can I Use This On my Child?

This product can be used on children over 6 months of age.
